PARK & RIDE – WITH TIMBERLAND
Who’s first skateboarding attemps didn’t start in a parking lot? Those are the best spots, especially on sundays, when they’re empty and you and more importantly everyone else is safe from your rookie riding skills. Other than that, they’re a perfect spot when it comes to testing my new Timberland boat shoes for their ability to surf the concrete.
You think it’s easy to find a nice parking deck for a skateboard ride in Vienna? Well, let me tell you it isn’t – especially when you want to ride on top of a garage and not underground. After a few hours of research I finally found a perfect spot for a “Sunday Funday” with my skateboard and the boat shoes!
To be honest it’s not my first time on the board, but I still love empty spots because I love cruising on my own, enjoying silence and listening to the sound of my board on the concrete. It’s very relaxing and it’s the perfect balance to sitting in an office chair the whole day.
Timberland’s new boat shoes are actually quite perfect for a skateboard ride. Of course they are not what you have in mind when you think about skate shoes, but we have already seen Penny Loafers these days on skatedecks too and the grippy sole of the boat shoes are definitely a better choice .
The quality sewn boat shoes hold up very well and are better than you think – especially for my relaxed cruising style. Maybe they’re not ideal for your 20 stairs drop, but for my sunday funday ride they are just perfect!
And what I especially love about my new Timberland boat shoes? It’s the customized patches, that I selected – they add some extra style and fun.
You can get your patches at the Zurich Store on 20th (11-7pm) and 21st (11-6pm) of May at Limmatquai 94!
There you can choose between different styles and they will be professionally sewn on your new boat shoes.
