STREET ZEN – INSPIRING JAPANESE CLOTHING
“if you are unable to find the truth right where you are, where else do you expect to find it?”

the “samue” is the work clothing of japanese zen monks. it’s made from cotton or linen. in modern times samues have become popular as general casual wear – so for me that’s street wear (street zen). i really love the oversized style, geometric shapes and minimal lines. these are so good to see in a world full of garments with too much going on anyways. for this shoot i asked my good friend ana to make the pictures. she is very much into japan and also truly in love with minimal and simple design – maybe it’s because she is an architect ;)
