i was born and raised in austria and it’s true – we austrians have a thing for mountains. mountains are our natural habitat so we need them like the air to breathe.

is there any better way to recover from a stressful work week, then to spend the weekend surrounded by natural peaks of mother earth? a good advise when your inner batteries run low is to climb up a mountain in the morning. when you arrive on top you will feel fully charged again.

for this weekend we went to the tauplitzalm, which we had already visited a few weeks earlier during our trip to the ennstal classic race. but since we participated in the vintage car race, we didn’t have time enough for really enjoying and exploring the beautiful landscapes. so we decided to come again and it happened earlier than expected! we were very lucky to find a beautiful villa in the hills with a fantastic view over the putterer lake and also a second small cabin in the woods. this made the perfect weekend getaway, rustic charm in the alps of the tauplitzalm and a comfortable villa with pool in the valley.

so this was the perfect trip to test the lightweight endurance boost sneakers in action. they feature the super soft and comfortable boost sole, but also a grippy outsole, which i found really perfect for a light hike too. up in the mountains it’s also always a little colder so i was happy that i had my insulated shirt with me (although it was still warm in the valley and we could even use the pool).
