NOSTALGIA – AT VILLA ANTOINETTE WITH VANGARDIST
Austria’s finest editorial men’s fashion magazine “Vangardist” invited me to discover the idea of Nostalgia. Together with a great group of bloggers from Germany and Austria we came together at Villa Antoinette at the Semmering to take a trip back to the past.
Be prepared for Vangardist’s Nostalgia issue, that is coming out in June with amazing fashion editorials of all of us (Manuel – Meanwhileinawesometown, Philippe Gazar, Ilija – Way of Jay, Des & Jen – Desnjen, Riccardo – The fabulous life of Ricci). Here’s a little preview, so you’ll already get in the mood for the issue with amazing fashion that was inspired by the idea of Nostalgia.
For me “Nostalgia” is actually not a very relevant mindset, as I train myself to be present and aware of the “Here and Now” mostly. I don’t believe fantasizing about the past makes you more happy. But sometimes a peak in the past can help as an inspiration to create something new. I believe that every trend that is inspired by the past, always has an element of evolution as well.
So this look represents my idea of “Nostalgia” pretty well – it’s a combination of old and new and therefore perfect for the NOW :) The Villa Antoinette was the ideal location for this experience – it’s old glamour is so well styled for today’s needs and you can see the attention to detail throughout the whole house. We enjoyed our stay here to the fullest – especially the Spa area and our amazing bathtub in the room!
Stay tuned for the other looks of the day full of photo shoots and for my own cover of the Vangardist issue. I can’t wait to see all the editorials of the other bloggers as well!
