It’s time to show you the first collaboration of 2o17: Arthur Arbesser x Silhouette. The Austrian eyewear manufacturer Silhouette teamed up with Arthur Arbesser, a Viennese designer living in Milan, for their newest collab model. And I got hold of my favorite color called caramel!
It’s Silhouette‘s third special edition after collabs with both Felder & Felder and Wes Gordon. With this model they once again show, that they can make a super refined product, with a special touch.
About Arthur Arbesser
Arthur was born and raised in Vienna and studied in Central Saint Martins College as many of the great wizards of fashion. In 2013 he launched a women’s wear label in Milan. After winning the LVMH prize in 2015 it was quite clear, that he will become a new mastermind in the fashion industry.
With it’s Austrian-made eyewear, the company has been setting benchmarks for refined eyewear, that is very comfortable and features highly sophisticated materials. The company started in 1964. In 1999, Silhouette revolutionized the world of eyewear with Titan Minimal Art weighing just 1.8 grams, with no rims, screws or hinges. You all know that the nineties are more than back right now, so make sure to check all their frames!
Arthur Arbesser for Silhouette
In creating his first eyewear collection, Arthur Arbesser was inspired by the lifestyle of Arthur Miller during the time he was with Marilyn Monroe. With the knowhow of Silhouette’s titan crafting history the line became pure, minimal and sophisticated.
– Glossy Caramel – which I chose for this Florida styled editorial ;)
– Glossy Purple
– Dark Green Gradient
– Classic Grey Gradient
A special technology allows the sunglasses to be made available on prescription, if desired. The outer part remains unchanged, the inner part has coloured prescription lenses. “Rimless sunglasses with two lens colours combined in one lens are certainly something original” says Arbesser proudly.
