(Advertorial) Have you ever lost control of your car while driving on ice?
The feeling of loosing grip is frightening – when you believe that you’ll end up in the ditch for sure… well let me introduce you to the solution: The Ice Drive Experience with Jaguar & Land Rover!
Training on Ice
So everyone knows that you can buy some pretty nice cars from Jaguar and Land Rov. But did you know that you can also book driving experiences, that bring you to some amazing places around the world? These experiences are designed to let you learn a lot about your car, but also teach you the pleasure of going to the limits (which is easy on a test track) ;) One of those experiences is the Ice Drive in Gstaad, Switzerland – where you can test drifting on ice and snow.
There are a couple of things in life that are less fun then driving a Jaguar F-TYPE or a Range Rover Sport with more than 300 horsepowers :) Especially when you know there is no police around and you are even supposed to be on fire.
Just let me set one thing straight
All the Jaguar & Land Rover models I tested are actually too good and safe to really lose control and have fun on ice and snow ;) Even the Jaguar F-Type won’t let you slip out of your track – not even when you drive more than 200 km/h. But the fun starts, when they let you switch off the safety systems like ASPC, ASR, DSC… that’s when you get to start your drifting experience!
And yes, there was also time for a couple of one-on-one races (thinking about that still makes me smile). How often do you get the chance to ride an amazing car and compete against your speedy girl – and she even let’s you win (sometimes)? ;) Maybe my lucky charm the red cap helped – inspired by an Austrian race-car hero.
Another part of the experience is an off-road course. On the wall ride section I even managed to make the well experienced instructor sweat a little… as I decided to ride the section with more speed than needed and almost flipped the car. He even jumped away from where he was standing to be safe ;) But I (and the Range Rover) survived!
