First of all I have to say: The Provence is not that puristic at all! It’s like a huge, lush, scented garden, which let’s you feel like the proverbial “God in France”. But it wouldn’t be me if I couldn’t find some minimalistic architecture to keep my vision sleek.
Contemporary art & architecture in Avignon
The Collection Lambert in Avignon is dedicated to contemporary art. For me the most important period anyways – I like to live in the NOW. The place is a 2000 m² playground for the inspiring creatives of our times. The museum architecture itself is pretty impressive as you can see in this editorial. At the current exhibition you will also find young art graduates like Claude Lévêque.
The Provence region
Of course I also visited the more “classical” Provence. The scents will already draw you into the lush and treasured region in the South of France. Honestly the smells there make you feel like being in love… it’s like walking into a flower garden in full bloom! There are roses, lilys and lots of herbs, that will stimulate your senses. But this isn’t the place for such exuberant travel photos.
