The Viennese Parliament (finally) gets restored as of this summer. Time to show you the representative interior design from the last century one final time.

Retro wave
A few years ago I thought I could pass the retro wave and stay true to a modern, more futuristic vision. But suddenly it hit me and it got me hard. If you attentively follow this blog you may have already noticed my new found romance for nostalgic things.
Past and present
Wether it comes to cars (in which case I still don’t know why Elon Musk doesn’t get inspired by the design of a muscle car from the past to create my absolute dream mobile) nor when it comes to fashion or interior design. The past is present more than ever.

The future past
What more to add? Just enjoy this beautiful interior and make up your mind – do you think the design of Austria’s political center will get any better after the restoration? We will see.
Instawalking like in the old days
Another nostalgic thing about this photoshoot was me taking part in an Instawalk. Just like in the good old days, when Instagram was not just about making selfies and product placements. With a toss of the Igersaustria I had the chance to strive through the Parliament without becoming suspicious in my bathing sandals.
Remains of the past
The funniest thing about the parliament in it’s current state? You’ll find a “dinosaur” landline telephone at every corner. I saw one of these for the last time when I was about sweet sixteen. And they still have ashtrays built into the marble walls. Good old times? Well maybe, not everything was great back then ;)
