In the endless search for new backdrops I ended up in Austria’s National Library. Okay admittedly, it was more like a perfect coincidence, that I got to shoot there. But this is happening quite often when I’m creating a visual story – things just fall into place like magic!
I’m combining the impressive baroque location with some new local pieces by Austrian designers and vintage stuff for this editorial.
(Not only when it comes to photoshoot backdrops, but also when it comes to design.)
I always try to find new Austrian designers, but sometimes they also find me! That’s how I got the chance to introduce you to Philipp Brunner – a bustling fashion graduate from Hallein’s Fashion School.
He is currently living in Berlin, where he also connects to lots of well known Austrian designers like Marina Hörmanseder and the likes. The asymmetrical, red jacket with fake leather sleeves in this editorial is a piece of one of his last collections. For sure we will hear more of him in the future!
Stay local Pt 2.
The second Austrian piece, that completes my look are the glasses.
This is alredy the second time I present a shade from Klaus Huber, the designer behind Robert La Roche. I met Klaus already at my first workplace about 20 years ago in Linz (when I worked in the boutique “Bluma”). So I’m more than happy, that we connected again and I visited him at his atelier/home in Vienna. Klaus always has an eye for details and the titan collection is perfection in every corner.
