Better out, than in. Deadstock and ugly fitting clothes are more appealing than ever – so what may seem out of fashion becomes in again.
Already when I was young I was different in many ways. For example in being a vegetarian at a very early age. Back then nobody really understood why I didn’t eat meat. I was the exotic “How can he survive without meat” country side boy. Today that’s (fortunately) not so different anymore.
When I first got in contact with fashion at an early age, it was clear the exoticness will reach new levels. With childhood heroes like Marilyn Manson and Prodigy it was just natural for me to wear smokey eyes pretty much every day – even in school. And obviously I was also dying my hair in all possible colours for a couple of years (until I got allergic reactions to the colour).
You can imagine that I was a very strange creature for the country crowd back then (and maybe still am today ;)).
So I was pretty much always an outsider, but I actually enjoyed it very much! ;) I was and will forever be a lonesome lion. Watching football games and drinking cheap alcohol in groups was something I could never enjoy. I really loved checking out new fashion brands, contemporary art and contemplating about life in general much more. And, if I had some spare time, a ride on my bmx.
Therefore the 3rd collection from Viennese creative duo Manuel & Laura “Romantic Outsider” is just made for dreamers like myself.
