I’m back in Vienna – and also back on my journey together with Krug Champagne. The luxurious champagne brand has been my partner throughout all of 2017, so this is already our 5th experience together. Welcome to a new edition on the tracks of sparkling fine art by Krug!
The sparkle is real
Have you ever dreamed of a place, where there is only Champagne? Well, it really exists right here in Vienna. A dedicated Champagne gallery – only made for you to explore the different kinds and variations of champagnes. Perfect to get your favourite bottles of refined Krug from Vintages to Rosé.
Since over 10 years “Le Cru” is the first address when it comes to Champagne in Vienna. Besides diving into the golden luxurious world of the refined taste of sparkliness you will also get lots of know-how and mentoring to become a great disciple of champagne.
Especially in November and December when it’s dark and cold outside you can find Champagne lovers gathering inside the shop to socialise with a good glass of champagne (after their Christmas shopping).
Krug Champagne Grande Cuvée editions
Krug’s Grande Cuvée edition is numbered to identify each new recreation. Every edition is a new blend of many years and aromas. It needs more than 20 years to create each bottle.
Since I’ve already trained my taste buds for the Krug aroma experience, I start to realise more and more how much of an art it is to create these bottles. The Grande Cuvée seamlessly gets in line with the whole vision of the traditional house from Reims.
I’m not an expert and therefore cannot explain the taste in ornate expressions about nougat and zesty lemon notes, but let me tell you – I could get used to the refined taste notes of any bottle of Krug.
They say a Krug Grande Cuvée can age beautifully – and that’s definitely something I hope to accomplish myself as well ;)
