Is there a world without collaborations? It seems fashion brands have to interlock into a conglomerate to become most wanted must-have items. Collaborations are adding value for everyone.

Getting the know-how from one brand and the vision of another and combining those features into something new – that’s a recipe for success. The evolution of good product (fashion) design also comes from collaborating. Especially through the collabs with young designers and labels, established brands try to reinvent and dedust their image.

Why make a new canvas sneaker, when there is already the perfect one out there since 1917? And they also come with this nostalgic complexion, that adds emotions to things. Maybe these were the thoughts of Anderson when he decided to collab with Converse. And whoops – some of the models were sold out immediately (especially the colourful versions). I actually liked the simpler black and white logo version a little more and got lucky to still get a pair. When you spent some money people need to recognise it, right? ;) Well – not really – but I love the black and white contrast. I prefer to wear versatile sneakers on a daily basis – and black and white fits to pretty much everything.

Okay, the coat I’m wearing is from last year’s collab, but since you already know – I’m a fan of sustainability and I really wear my pieces longer than a season. I do believe that good design has no age. So it’s clear I will wear this piece more often – especially since it’s also wearable from both sides. But there is also a new collab this season! I also love the 80’s inspired super colourful sweatsuits – as you can see in this post.
