Small is beautiful? But bigger is better! ;)
Better big than sorry
Today I selected and picked up some items for an upcoming photoshoot and now guess what – of course I went for the big bag! ;) But besides the very famous stylist’s number one bag from Ikea there are more sophisticated options.
Longchamp x Shayne Oliver
My favourite oversized choice of caring goods is this brand new collab piece! A bag from the new Longchamp x Shayne Oliver collab will be available tomorrow. And yes, even in sleepy Vienna you can get your hands on one at Longchamp Wien (Graben 14-15, 1010 Vienna).
Shayne Oliver who recently also brought back the almost forgotten Viennese heritage label Helmut Lang is responsible for the hottest bag collab this season. The traditional Parisian label Longchamp known for luxury travel luggage and accessories made the right choice by hiring the creative Hood By Air founder.
The perfect match to my oversized Longchamp bag is my new oversized Jacket from Glenn Martens’ latest collection. Which I got by accident for a really reasonable price via Farfetch (maybe you followed my Instastories already)… There was a glitch in the matrix and I took advantage of it :) This way I got the jacket for the price of a T-shirt ;) Maybe it’s not just luck, but rather me constantly browsing through online stores to get the best deals.
From big to petite: La Petite Lunette Rouge
A while back in Paris I discovered the glasses collection of LPLR at the famous blue logo-ed concept store (R.I.P. Colette 2017). I fell in love with the architectural metal frames of LPLR and soon I had the chance to shoot my first shade from the collection.
Now I’m more than happy that LPLR, which was founded by Alison Hemmes (designer) and Hilarhi Arcade, are doing really well and coming up with new designs. It’s also well appreciated to see they are still doing their own stuff creating their own trends and not following the mainstream frame trends we can’t see anymore.
But what are all the biggest trends without having the perfect basic T-shirt as a first layer on your skin (you can spot just a small peak of white in my outfit, but an important one ;). Already Helmut Lang was a fan of a perfect basic T-shirt and it was hard to find back in the days when he started his fashion career.
Now it’s a little easier to get that and Organic Basics are here to fulfil all those needs and more. They invented my favourite underwear so far (sorry Calvin), because they came up with a special silvertech line, that keeps you fresh all day long and beyond. I am a big fan of colourful mens underwear as I like that they are eye-catching, but feeling fresh all day is equally important when it comes to underwear – especially if you are busy and always on the go. These are perfect when the next destination appears at the horizon. Now there is a fresh Kickstarter campaign for you to check out:
