The future is now! Jaguar’s new I-PACE is all you ever wanted from a futuristic vehicle. A silent ode to superfast acceleration!
I remember the day when my uncle – who already was an eco activist over 20 years ago – brought home his first electric powered vehicle. It was like an awkward ramshackle bicycle with a plastic shell in which you could drive for about one hour. But still it was cool as hell and looked super futuristic. And for me as child it was completely incomprehensibly why anyone would still burn fossile fuel and not all cars would switch to the silent and less smelly alternative.
The Future is I-PACE
And here we are in the future and finally we have a real comfortable and safe car, which fulfils all daily needs and beyond. To be honest since a few years I only drive rental cars and didn’t even think about getting an own car again. But the new I-PACE is a game changer and it was hard to give it back. The acceleration is breathtaking and makes sure you never miss the tinniest gap in the traffic circus. And well, I wouldn’t consider myself a pleb but leaving everyone behind at the cross-section makes you giggle like a lovesick teenager.
If you played “Supertrumpf” (a card game based around cars) in your childhood you know that 4,8 sec from 0 to 100 km/h is a winning number and you want to get that card! Two motors inspired by e-racing cars are bringing a total performance of 294 kW (400 PS) on four wheels. And the I-PACE doesn’t need gears which means untamed continuous power. And it is absolutely silent!!! And obviously no exhaust fumes at all. Can you imagine living in a city with only cars like this?
The Touch Pro Infotainment system and a special I- PACE app make sure you stay connected to your I-PACE baby. Smart settings immediately recognise which driver is on the wheel and adapts everything to your need – something very helpful when you are a lot on the road switching drivers with your hopeless explorer wife.
If you are still not convinced make sure to test the Jaguar I-PACE – I promise you won’t regret it (and this is not because I’m getting paid for this article)!
