It has been a while since I shot a serious editorial for my blog with a mobile phone. I made an exception with the new ZTE Axon 10 Pro, which was launched last Thursday at Vienna’s favourite hang out spot – the MQ. And you still can check it out there!
So my first impression of the new ZTE Axon 10 Pro is pretty nice. It is a solid phone, which comes in the perfect size for checking my daily workspace Instagram. Equipped with a curved bright and super sharp Amoled display (16m colours) which makes browsing through the social media world even more attractive. It comes in a nice blue color.
All pictures below were made with the new ZTE Axon 10 Pro camera:
The phone is equipped with an integrated finger print reader and a facial recognition software as well. The android system on the display is well arranged and lucid. You can choose between different operation modes from gesture control to classic button design. The ZTE Axon 10 Pro is also super fast and ready for multitasking due to it’s Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor. It will also be the first 5G phone on the market. – full info here!
Now to the important part: How is the camera (or in Axon’s case the cameras)? The Axon 10 Pro is equipped with 3 different camera lenses. From portrait mode to wide angle everything is possible with this setup! It also offers a 3 times optical and up to 10 times digital zoom. I’m still not a fan of digital zoom in any camera on the market these days and recommend to stay in the optical zoom world. Due to the high resolution pictures with up to 48mp you can crop in later especially when you use the pictures for Instagram.
My photo experience
I always love to use the raw version of pictures of all cameras I use – since I do love to edit the pictures in post. So I also tried the raw format with the Axon 10 Pro. The raw format had a really nice flat color profile and it also left the pictures with a little softer touch, which I really love to keep. But nevertheless I also tested the jpg versions since the internal edit really has a nice coloration and output also in the darker corners.
Storage is important these days. Everyone want’s to get the perfect picture with lots of pixels. This leaves the problem that you have to delete pictures permanently to keep your phones running. The Axon 10 Pro helps you by adding a simple micro SD card slot to the built-in 128GB storage. Now you have solved the problem of slowing down your phone. You can upgrade with micro SD cards to 2TB – for capturing every split second of your life.
Hands on for you
But the best way to get an impression of what the new ZTE Axon 10 Pro is all about is to check it out yourself. I heard also rumours that on the price-value sector the Axon 10 Pro will be the best out there.
Check the new ZTE Axon 10 Pro at their tent in the MQ in Vienna until the 16th of July 2019.
