This year I will join Zalando at the Lighthouse festival in Croatia. You already know I’m more of a party pooper, so why did I choose to revive my raver career? Well, let me explain.
First of all: I really love to dance like no-one is watching. I grew up in the 90’s, where raving was part of the youth culture and my constant companion. Raving was all about putting a proper (weird self-sewn) outfit together and dance all night long in an industrial location.
Some of us needed drugs for their parties, but I always hated to loose self control. So for me it was really just all about dancing (okay, and the girls) ;-)
The Lighthouse Festival
Fast forward to a “few” years later: Zalando asked me to join the Lighthouse Festival and I had to think about this invitation. But after a bit of research I knew that this Festival is actually exactly what I can still enjoy in my “older days”. It’s the baby of the former Pratersauna founders from Vienna and is all about electronic music in a nice, a bit more grown-up atmosphere.
It’s a festival for people just like me.
And here’s why:
- You do not sleep in tents, but in apartments
- It’s on a beach
- It’s small – limited to 3.500 ravers
- You have to apply to join the party
- The target group are adults, not teenagers
The Lighthouse Festival is practically electronic music on vacation. My feet are already starting to move when thinking about the good music while watching the sunset on the beach. There’s also a really good line up with well known producers like Wolfram from Vienna. So they make sure our feet won’t stop moving.
So if you think – yes, that’s exactly what I needed…
You can still apply now and rave with me:
From 24th-28th of May in Lanterna, Porec – Croatia
Okay, it’s obvious: I chose a 90’s inspired raver look to hit the dance floor. This fake cow fur jacket makes sure your moves look smoother on the dance floor.
